A Minute at the Movies
Starring Jared Wilson
Here's a halloween movie for you.
Watch the high-quality version (2.5MB) or the small
version (1 MB) (both are QuickTime videos).
Here's what critics are saying about Scary Ghosts:
- Robert E. Wilson, Eugene, Oregon:
What a marvelous movie! How ever did you get the
principal actor, Jared Wilson, to screw up his face so realistically and cry
on cue, almost is if he were really scared of something or someone? And how
did you get such realistic ghost sounds? I have never heard any ghost
except that they sounded exactly as depicted in your great flick. The
costuming was great, too, and the checkered back quound pattern -- really
scary. That was a nice touch!
- Dan Ventura, State College, Pennsylvania:
A heart rending vision of terror and heartache with a strangely peaceful
tranquility about it that will have your heart in your throat. My heart
goes out to the little fella who clearly put his whole heart into his
performance.
- Bob Wilson, Matamoros, Mexico:
Jared does a truly authentic
"sad face" and really gets into the part of the scared little fellow. "Sixth
Sense" move over. This is an Oscar performance.
- Tony Martinez, Department Chair, BYU Computer Science Department
A fine movie (which I was able to see immediately). I have forwarded it on
to state social services, however.
That last comment inspired the sequel: Scary Gosts II: One Year Later. Like most sequels,
it is not as good as the original, and in this case is particularly weak, but at least it shows that the little guy came
through fairly unscathed.
The Piano
A very minor motion picture by Randy Wilson.
Play The Piano (1500K) (or the smaller version (500K)).
