Tony R. Martinez

Tony Martinez received the B.S. in computer science at Brigham Young University in 1982 and the M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science at UCLA in 1983 and 1986, respectively. He is a professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University in the Computer Science Department, where he served as Department Chair from 1999-2008.  He heads up the Neural Network and Machine Learning Laboratory in the BYU PhD/MS program. His main research interests are in machine learning, neural networks, massively parallel algorithms and architectures, and non von Neumann computing methods.
